Luke 10:20
“Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”
Jesus sent seventy disciples out to preach the Gospel, heal the sick, and proclaim the Kingdom wherever they went.
They returned amazed that even the demons were subject to them in Jesus name.
There is a thin line between a testimony and boasting. You can brag about what God has done for you or you can boast on the grace of God in your life.
Paul had much to boast about. He was a up and coming Pharisee – the top of his class. He was more zealous for Judaism than anyone in his generation.
But he said, “What things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.” Phil 3:7
His boasting continued, but not in what he could do but what Christ did to him and through him.
For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. 1 Cor 2:2
Rejoice in Christ and your salvation!
