John 14:1-3
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.”

What comment can I possibly add to the words of Jesus?
I will say this, most parents look forward to when the kids strike out on their own and leave home to make their way in life.
Sure, it’s a sad day but parents and kids usually survive.
Linda and I are sad that some of ours live four hours away and not thirty minutes so we can see them more often.
However, Jesus wants His family all together – preparing places for us in the Father’s house so we can all be together.
I might note another view.
Jesus first prepared a place for you by going to the cross.
He came again in the resurrection.
The death and resurrection of Jesus prepare the way for forgiveness of your sin and eternal life.
Since He prepared the way for you, shouldn’t you prepare to meet Him?
