Romans 5:1
Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

I love this scripture!
It is the foundation of salvation.
Salvation does not come by what we can accomplish but only through the accomplishment of Jesus on our behalf, which is why we are justified by faith.
That means the Law does not justify us.
That means baptism does not justify us.
That means tithing; church attendance, fellowship dinners, Bible reading, or singing on the praise team does not justify us.
Justification by any of those means does not lead to peace but bragging, pride, comparison, and conflict.
When our justification is through Christ alone, we have peace with God.
