Memorable Scripture: Christ died for the ungodly.

Romans 5:6-8
For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

What strength are we talking about here?
I believe it’s the strength to stay sinless and righteous before God.
To control every thought, every gaze, every word, and every action to maintain a sinless state is tiring. In fact, it’s impossible.
So when you ran out of strength Christ died for you.
I like the words “due time”, which means a Godly appointed time.
Honestly, there are very few people I would give my life for. Family members and a few close friends.
But Jesus gave His life for strangers, thieves, murderers, thugs, good ol’ boys and girls, Democrats, Republicans, and all in between.
This is how God demonstrates His love – Jesus gave His life for me knowing I would be a sinner. Jesus gave His life for King David, knowing he was an adulterer.
And Jesus gave His life for you, knowing all the things you’d do too.
