Memorable Scripture: Mystery of Change

1 Corinthians 15:51-52
Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed— in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

What a great scripture!
I have love this one a very long time.
It gives a certain assurance that change is coming, saying it twice!
I know since I accepted Christ as my Savior, I’ve been in a constant state of change.
But it’s nothing like the one that is coming!
I can change my mind.
I can change my attitude.
I can change my ways.
I can change my speech.
I can change my body.
But I cannot change the affect of age and time.
I cannot change the affect of death.
To me the great mystery is how someone can be alive one minute and gone the next.
Despite the miracles of modern medicine, life can only be prolonged for a short extension.
Today’s best doctors cannot stop death.
Jesus can!
He conquered death and sin so we can now shout “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” 1 Corinthians 15:55
Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 15:57
