1 Thessalonians 5:2
For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.

You have heard this expression your entire life – a thief in the night.
It epresses the surprise of the event.
However, you have a clue in “in the night!”
Which night?
There are only 365 of them and if you stayed awake and alert during each then you would catch the thief.
If you know me, have read my blog, or heard me preach for any amount of time, then you know I believe in the return of the Lord to fufill a particular day.
Although I’m not through with this subject (there are more future verses about the return of Jesus) all of these scriptures are sandwiched in with verses on how to live.
As believers, our concentration is not the return of the Lord but daily living for the Lord.
We are required to live righteously through Jesus Christ as examples to the world.
Don’t be a disappointment in this endeavor.
The Day of the Lord will take care of itself.
You just need to follow Christ.
