1 Timothy 3:1 This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.

The word translated bishop is translated as elder, overseer, or church leader in other translations.
The qualifications are quite extensive for an overseer – a pastor.
I have thought long and hard about the qualifications for myself.
However, I think these qualifications, in a general sense, should apply to every born-again believer.
Each of us is a leader of sorts and should live in a most strigent way.
I know some of the wording doesn’t apply to everyone, like husband of one wife would not apply to women. Yet faithfulness in the marriage relationship always mirrors your faithfulness to God.
I’m not here to argue any specific points.
I just believe you should live your best for the Lord so that all of us can have a good testimony among those who are outside.
