Memorable Scripture: Prophets and the Son

Hebrews 1:1-2 God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;

What a great way to begin the book of Hebrews.
I want to quickly point out this does not say prophets are done away with. It says the prophets “filled in” until Jesus came and spoke.
In my opinion, prophets still exist today.
Prophecy is speaking what God instructs you to say.
It’s foretelling and for telling.
What prophets spoke was definitely very important. But they could not speak with the passion of Christ.
Jesus is the Son, the heir of all things, and the Creator.
He does not repeat words but speaks from the heart.
That’s no disrespect to the prophets but they could not accomplish what the Son did, who gave His life for all creation.
The prophets of the OT spoke of the Messiah to come.
Today the prophets speak of the Savior/Messiah that came, died, rose from the grave, ascended to heaven, and is coming again!
