Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he would receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.

The call of Abraham always amazes me, though it should not.
Abraham lived in a harsh time of child sacrifice.
He and his wife had nothing to offer since they were childless.
Perhaps they saw the value of children, not in sacrifice but to love and cherish.
How they longed for one.
Maybe this prompted Abraham to look beyond the gods of the Chaldeans and he heard what no one had heard in years – the voice of God.
This is purely speculative!
However it happened, God did speak to Abraham and by faith he walked away from it all, not knowing where he was going.
Truly, he walked by faith and not by sight.
I believe many hear the call of God, even today, and take a step of faith.
Missionaries, mission builders, evangelist, pastors all hear from God and act accordingly.
But it’s not limited to ministers.
God also wants you to live by faith.
