1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy.

One of my favorite scriptures, declaring what God thinks about us.
We are chosen, royal, holy, and special!
For this reason, we “proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.”
This isn’t because of who we are.
It’s because of Who He is!
God extended His own mercy toward us to make us His own special people!
We have no trouble declaring why we drive a Chevy, why we favor a particular restaurant or the best vacation spot ever!
We have more to proclaim through our Lord Jesus Christ than all other things put together.
