Revelation 20:4 And I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was committed to them. Then I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God, who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received his mark on their foreheads or on their hands. And they lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
As we get to the millennium very little is known from Revelation.
However other scriptures point to it with the lion lying with the lamb and the bells on horses dedicated to the Lord.
Our scripture today speaks of judgment committed to those sitting on the thrones. Perhaps these are the saints of God for it is written do you not know that the saints will judge the world? (1 Cor 6:2) and do you not know that we shall judge angels? (1 Cor 6:3)
Whether here or later, judgment is committed to the saints.
The believers living and dying during the reign of the Antichrist are not unseen. They, too, are promised to live and reign with Christ for a thousand years.
Our lives on earth are short and yet we do so much in the time we are allotted.
We learn, we grow, we invent, we love, we raise families, we work, we help others, and we die all in the span of fewer than one hundred years.
What will we do for a thousand?
God has a plan for us.
That plan starts with Christ.
Your salvation is just the beginning.
The millennium is just the beginning.
And there is no end.
