Philippians 1:27 Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ,
I desire it to be so but it isn’t always.
What types of conduct interferes with gospel-worthiness?
Anger comes to mind because you do and say things in the heat of the moment.
Aggravation goes hand in hand with it. You’re not angry but on the cusp of it.
Fear is another one. You cannot walk in faith if you live in fear. It will stop you from even sharing the gospel.
Well, I’m going through and making my own list when I should just turn to the Bible, which says the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; Galatians 5:19-21
Well, gee! There are many on that list I don’t do.
But it only takes doing one to ruin my Christian conduct.
However, my Christian conduct is evident through love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
When I live in these things it makes me worthy of the gospel of Christ.
