Enticed

Prov 1:10 My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.

Jim (not his real name) began going to church and trying to clean his life up from drugs.
One day he told me of a friend dropping by his house.
The friend wanted Jim to go with him.
Jim knew his friend was a drug user and he knew where he was going and what he was going to do.
And it all involved drugs.
Jim told me, “I didn’t want too but I went with him and got some drugs.”
He seemed genuinely remorseful for this slip back into a life he wanted to escape.
I told Jim he needed some new friends.
“Better yet,” I said, “Next time he comes over lay a hand on his should and start praying in the name of Jesus, ‘God, would you deliver us from this temptation of sin!'”
Either your friend will leave you alone or get saved.
In Christ, we have the power to entice others to do good.
We can entice them to salvation.
We can lead them to blessing and joy.
Be an enticer for Christ today.
