1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.

Everyone is tempted in the same or similar ways.
But God does not allow temptation to overwhelm you without a way of escape.
That escape is through Jesus by prayer and the word of God.
With the help of Christ, you are able to bear the temptation.
So, to me, this verse says nothing about keeping you from temptation but allowing Christ to render the temptation ineffective.
It’s all up to you!
You can give in to temptation and sin or you can give into Christ.
Giving in to sin is easy.
Giving in to Christ takes a conscious effort.
It’s up to you.
