Yesterdays Morning Thought was about the courage to stand in the face of temptation.
While at church camp I ran into Joe and family one day. As we were talking Joe said, “Well like he said in The Shootist…” and then he said a quote from that movie.
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.
A bit more on the freedom you have in Jesus when you trust Him as Lord and Savior of your life.
On the last Thought I shared verses that say under the Law there was a remembrance of sin year after year and therefore there was sacrifice for sin year after year.
Continuing with yesterday’s thought on the sacrificial death of Jesus and the forgiveness of your sins.

Stephen, a man full of God’s grace and power, performed amazing miracles and signs among the people. But one day some men from the Synagogue of Freed Slaves, as it was called, started to debate with him. They were Jews from Cyrene, Alexandria, Cilicia, and the province of Asia. None of them could stand against the wisdom and the Spirit with which Stephen spoke.
