Memorable Scripture: Lent to the Lord

“For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted me my petition which I asked of Him. Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord.” So they worshiped the Lord there. 1 Samuel 1:27-28 Continue reading

Always stop to praise!

Who is Jesus to you?

Who-is-Jesus-Christ-1024x780Now Jesus and His disciples went out to the towns of Caesarea Philippi; and on the road He asked His disciples, saying to them, “Who do men say that I am?” Mark 8:27
That’s a good question. Answers can be very different and, yet, all correct.
Someone may answer, “He is Lord” and that is right. Continue reading

Thou shalt not…edit!

It was only a matter of time.
The Ten Commandments are often in the midst of controversy and civil suits; now there is something new.

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim
Good Morning!
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I have been pastor at CrossRoads for 9 years.
A lot can happen in 9 years.
I’ve seen many come and go and a few went before they arrived.
I suppose every church has a large turnover but in our case we don’t keep track of it. Continue reading

Dividing right from wrong

morning thoughts

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

Good Morning!
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

There is a lesson from God’s word that will help you make the right choices.
It is a lesson that will help you discern good from evil.
This can help whether your church is seeking a pastor, mediating a dispute, or voting for president.
And the king said, “Divide the living child in two, and give half to one, and half to the other.”
Then the woman whose son was living spoke to the king, for she yearned with compassion for her son; and she said, “O my lord, give her the living child, and by no means kill him!”
But the other said, “Let him be neither mine nor yours, but divide him.”
1 Kings 3:25-26
Right and wrong can be determined by who speaks for life and who speaks for destruction.
Watch and listen to those around you!
The ones that speak condemnation are calling for judgment.
Those that speak blessing are calling for mercy.
Is this Biblical?
Refresh your memory by reading John 8:1-11.
