Our first meeting at CrossRoads was on a Thursday night. It was a small Bible study and I didn’t want to interfere with the Wednesday night meetings of the other churches around the area.
That was April/May 1999 but the inevitable was bound to happen. Continue reading

Ministerial Alliance with Lanny, Jim, and myself.
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Tim 2:15
I studied at Jacksonville Baptist College from Spring of 1977 and graduated in May 1979. It was some of the most memorable years of my life.
I was able to study in my preferred field of interest – Bible. Of course I also had to dabble in history, science, and math. Continue reading
Fear of the Lord!
But there was a certain man named Ananias who, with his wife, Sapphira, sold some property. He brought part of the money to the apostles, claiming it was the full amount. With his wife’s consent, he kept the rest. Continue reading
How to find out what it means!
Heb 6:4-6 – For it is impossible to bring back to repentance those who were once enlightened—those who have experienced the good things of heaven and shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the power of the age to come— and who then turn away from God. Linda and I were talking about why our church seems to be hated so much.
Our first year in the new sanctuary got us 7 broken windows on one side of the church.
There was glass scattered over an area of 2500 square feet.
We have been robbed on five different occasions. Continue reading

No one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:17
Like many in society, I have virtually gone cashless.
It took years of my daughter hounding me about a debit card before I eventually gave in. Continue reading

Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. John 5:8-9
Several years ago I had a pastor that told me about one of his deacons.
He said the man would not come to church unless the pastor visited him during the week. Continue reading
