Mom’s Day

mothers_day1Sunday is Mother’s Day, a day of cards, flowers, and eating out for lunch. Many sermons will be given about moms.
The Bible certainly gives a lot of material. Many ministers may pick Mary the mother of Jesus as the sermon subject.

Make each child a favorite.

young-children copyThree and a half years after Linda and I married our first child was born – a girl we named Lindsey. Eighteen months later her sister, Kimberly, arrived.

We have only ever known raising girls; even after our granddaughter Haylee was born and we still only knew raising girls.

Finding what you are not looking for!

Last year I upgraded my phone to an iPhone4s. I took my old iPhone3g and gave it to Linda.
She took her old phone and put it away.
This past week, our daughter was having trouble with her phone. It seems the screen is going out and she having trouble seeing text and pictures.
So the logical solution is to give her Linda’s old phone, the one we put away… somewhere! Continue reading
