These are the sons who were born to David in Hebron:
The oldest was Amnon, whose mother was Ahinoam from Jezreel.
The second was Daniel, whose mother was Abigail, the widow of Nabal from Carmel. Continue reading

Sanctify your family
…that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word… Eph 5:26
The husbands relationship and duties to his wife are analogous to Jesus and His relationship to the church, according to the writings of Paul in Ephesians.
One of the responsibilities of the husband is sanctification of his family. Continue reading
The Forgiving Husband
It is quite evident that your relationship with God is like the relationship between a married couple – for your Maker is your husband, the LORD of hosts is His name (Isa. 54:5) and husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. Eph 5:25
Just as God has said, “You must not have any other god but me” (Ex 20:3) then you Continue reading
Forsake everything.
What is the man’s role as a husband? Today’s young men will probably not know what the Bible says… what God says on the subject.
I know I didn’t. All I knew was to love Linda. While that is good, is it enough? Continue reading
Well blended!
I’m not sure I knew this but a step-family is called a blended family. Funny thing is I thought a blended family would be akin to a mixed-race family – a blending of races.
So I guess I have been a part of a blended family since I’ve had three step-dads and one step-mom. Continue reading
The Wife’s Role in the Marriage (and the husband has one too)

Three-way marriage!

Linda and me on our wedding day in May 1979.
In 1979 I was getting ready to get married. The date was set for May 4th so there was much to do at this point.
I had read where God had said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.” Gen 2:18 Continue reading
Sinful desires addressed.
A friend of mine sent me an article called “Gay People Don’t Go To Hell For Being Gay”. You can read it at that link.
My friend wanted to know what I thought.
I read the article and then sent my response. Then posted my response as today’s Morning Thought.(I apologize for any grammatical errors; I was writing in a hurry and on-the-fly!) Continue reading
Seek God in your relationship!

Linda and me on our wedding day in May 1979.
My teenage years were quit tumultuous. My parents got divorced, mom and I had to move from the old neighborhood into some apartments, and I lost touch with the neighborhood kids.
Even when all of us ended up in the same high school, that camaraderie we once had was gone. Continue reading
Selfishness is a relationship killer
I said in a previous Thought that my parents got a divorce on my 12th birthday. Linda read that and said, “Why didn’t they give some thought to the process and not let it happen on your birthday?”
That answer is revealed later. Continue reading
