Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Ps 127:1
Yesterday I wrote about the old Aldridge Saw Mill.
Another place we visited was Caney Creek Park on Lake Sam Rayburn.
Many of the camping and boat ramp equipped parks on our nearby lake are closing more and more of the facilities, usually leaving just the boat ramp. Continue reading

Another (fake) Gospel
There will always been those that would pervert the Gospel. There are the blatant perversions, like this story from Worldnetdaily.com.
Iran’s Basij Press is claiming a purported Gospel of Barnabas, discovered in 2000, will prove that Islam is the final and righteous religion, causing the collapse worldwide of Christianity. Continue reading
It’s an oxymoron
I read where a San Francisco city official consulted a Ouija board before city leaders voted to recommend naming a Navy ship after slain gay rights activist, Harvey Milk.
The city official said he believes he made contact with Milk’s spirit and that Milk spelled out letters indicating: “Good riddance to don’t ask, don’t tell.” Continue reading
The Finale
It is finale week!
Last Tuesday was the season finale of NCIS; last night was the finale of Dancing with the Stars, and tonight is the finale of American Idol.

Since the beginning, the heavenly bodies have been on a time schedule that has been set into motion by the Creator. Continue reading
Earthquakes in different places!
When it comes to end-time events, most look at the words of Jesus in this discourse with the disciples.
Later, Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives. His disciples came to him privately and said, “Tell us, when will all this happen? What sign will signal your return and the end of the world?” Continue reading
Do not split what God has joined!
The latest catalyst to the debate seems to be North Carolina voters upholding the definition that marriage is between a man and a woman.
I wasn’t really going to chime in on this but since the President has, I must!
In his interview with Robin Roberts of ABC News’ “Good Morning America,” on May 9, 2012, President Obama said, Continue reading
Rumors vs Truth
Last Friday Linda texted me and said that the Broaddus school’s were on lock-down. What she heard and thus relayed to me was that the same man that had vandalized our church air-conditioners was out on bond and at it again. Continue reading
