The Mark of Social Media

And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: Rev 13:16

As I sat at a traffic light yesterday, I looked to the vehicles on either side of me. Both drivers had their phone in hand, checking social media. Continue reading

What more can you do?

Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. Rev 12:1-2

September 23, 2017!
I’ve seen it called Revelation 12 day when Continue reading

The Flash Flood of Words

It has been a devastating weekend in the Texas Hill Country. Heavy amounts of rain caused flash flooding that has swept away trees, houses, bridges, and people.

A family of four was caught in a house when the floods came and only the dad has been found several miles downstream. His wife and two children are still unaccounted for. Continue reading

Grace is Greater

Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel — he was indeed the firstborn, but because he defiled his father’s bed, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph, the son of Israel, so that the genealogy is not listed according to the birthright; 1 Chron 5:1

Man’s sin is an epidemic but God’s grace is pandemic!

Reuben sinned against his dad, Israel. The firstborn right and blessing was taken away from him.

But he showed some redemptive qualities when he sought to spare the life of Joseph and was willing to sacrifice his own children to assure the safety of his younger brother, Benjamin.

God’s grace wipes out any sin you can commit.

And even though he has been dead for thousands of years, Reuben’s family is given redemption.

And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed:
…of the tribe of Reuben twelve thousand were sealed; Rev 7:4, 5

God’s grace out does anything you can do!

Abba, Your grace and mercy through Jesus are more than sufficient for me. YES&AMEN

Sukkot

It’s another Feast Day and the second blood moon of four. This one falls on Sukkoth and the eclipse was early this morning in the states.

Sukkoth is also known as the Feast of Booths or Feast of Tabernacles.

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the Feast of Tabernacles for seven days to the Lord. On the first day there shall be a holy convocation. You shall do no customary work on it. For seven days you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. On the eighth day you shall have a holy convocation, and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the Lord. It is a sacred assembly, and you shall do no customary work on it. Lev 23:33-36

It is a time of great celebration after the solemn Yom Kippur – Day of Atonement.

The Jews build temporary shelters to celebrate the occasion and Jesus was familiar with the day.

Now the Jews’ Feast of Tabernacles was at hand. John 7:2

You go up to this feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, for My time has not yet fully come. John 7:8

Jesus has not yet fulfilled this Feast but the day is coming when He will.

It is written,

“Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” Rev 21:3-4

To me, this is the final great act of God – to dwell with us and give us great comfort. It’s like coming home to security and reassurance.

Jesus is our Tabernacle.

Abba, I long for the fulfillment of the last three Feasts. Even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus. YES&AMEN

Get back to spiritual basics

This morning I was up at 3am and turned on the TV. Wagon Train was on and I tuned in just in time to hear this old man pray. It was quite a prayer. At the end of it he received an answer to his prayer and shouted, “Hallelujah, Praise the Lord!”

The show was filmed in 1961 and I thought how far we have gone off the straight and narrow path.

That became a subject last Wednesday evening. The American church and American Christian has become too sophisticated and has strayed away from God.

Other nations around the world are responding to the Gospel and seeing the evidence of the miraculous power of God.

I have heard testimonies of healings; even those being raised from the dead. None of these stories originate in the USA.

The word of God tells us why.

Rev 2:4 Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

The TV show from 1961 praised God in the dialogue. TV today curses Him.
Indeed we have left our first love.

Rev 3:17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’ — and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked —

It is time for the American church to return back to the basics of God. Back to faith. Back to believing. Back to living in the bounds of Christianity!

Abba, in Jesus name I want to live in the Spirit and not in the physical! I want to return to the simplicity of the faith. YES&AMEN

God reveals!

God revealsI have met many Christians with some “wild” stories of miracles, visions, prophecies, and other things that God has done. For several years I just kind of rolled my eyes and thought “nut case”.
Such is the way I was raised and taught in church. I have learned and experienced something quite different since that time.
Joseph had such a mindset as me. Continue reading
