Today’s Concern!
Praying also for us, that God would open to us a door for the word, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in chains, that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak. Col 4:3-4
What is your biggest concern today? Continue reading
Blessed by Today!
The Southern Kingdom had been held captive for years. But God had a plan to return and restore His people to His Promised Land.
Under the leadership of men like Ezra, Nehemiah, Haggai, and Zechariah the walls were restored, the Law was reinstated, and Temple began construction. Continue reading
Victory is Mine!
An East Texas school will no longer read scripture during the morning announcements. This decision comes after a formal complaint was filed with the school by the Freedom From Religion Foundation.
That organization says the practice of Biblical readings is not only offensive to non-Christians, but against the law. According to the FFRF, the decision is a win.
How sad it is when removal of Christ from society is considered a victory.
Let me share my victory!
Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 15:57
For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. 1 John 5:4
In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Rom 8:37
We sometimes sing a song in church:
Victory is mine,
victory is mine,
victory today is mine.
I told Satan to get thee behind,
victory today is mine.
The FFRF did not win – they lost!
Jesus said this and it may be a bit of a stretch but I think it’s appropriate,
For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Mark 8:35-36
Priority!
What do you care about the most?

There is something in your life that takes priority over everything else. Continue reading
As children grow – worries grow!
Life can be very difficult. Think about it.
You are brought into this world and are taken care of.
Someone feeds you, clothes you, and cleans you up. All you have to do is watch TV, play, and maybe do a few chores as you get older. Continue reading
Faith and Football
Around 70 miles south of where I live is a town that very few have heard of – that is until this past week.
Kountze is like many other small Texas towns; they have a high school, they play football, and they support the team.
And like many other small Texas towns, God, church, and family are an important part of daily life. Continue reading
Never bored!
Get ready!
It’s the most anticipated time of year for school kids – summer vacation!
Put away the pencils and books; leave the desk behind and homework will be a distant memory.
It sounds idyllic! Continue reading
