Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim
|
|---|
| Good Morning! This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. |
|---|
As we approach cold and flu season, I am always amazed at the spread of these viruses from continent to continent, state to state, city to city, and person to person.
The less personal contact you have with others the less likely you are to catch a disease.
I work in an enclosed enviroment with eleven others but have an office to myself so my exposure to them is low.
Linda works in pre-k, a petri dish of coughs, sneezes, and sniffles.
She’s in a class with 19 kids that have contact with many of the other kids in the school making the school one huge epidemic breeding ground.
A week ago Haylee, our first grader, came home and became nauseatingly sick.
This could have been an isolated incident stemming from something she ate until Linda also became sick.
As Braeden was being let out at daycare, another hotbed for germs, he became sick and was returned home to insure the infection of the rest of us.
As Linda recovers and returns to work, Kimberly stays home from work because she is now sick.
Well, that’s just about everyone except me and I’m the next contestant.
Last Friday morning at workI began to hear the churning stomach express make its way through my inards.
By midday I’m not eating because what I ate yesterday is sticking around longer than it’s suppose to and by Friday night I was on my way to puke-ville.
It would be nice if salvation could be spread as effectively from one person to another with such astounding results.
And I believe it can.
It is written, pray first that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honored wherever it goes, just as when it came to you. 2 Thess 3:1
So who is your next contestant to hear the Gospel?
