Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

Good Morning!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Did you see the news that some members of congress want to bail out the Big Three automakers?
When there is 700 Billion fictitious dollars being thrown around, it seems everyone has their hand out.
I wonder if I had a business that was in need if they would help me. Continue reading

“That’s a very nice umbrella”, the check out lady said.
She’s right.
Linda won a contest and received a huge golf umbrella so big that 4 good-sized adults could probably stand under it. Continue reading

If you’ve never experienced a computer crash then consider yourself blessed.
Yesterday our executive secretary’s hard drive crashed.
It contains a lot of valuable data. Continue reading

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

Good Morning!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

I found it!
I was just reading my Bible last night and found
For the LORD God of Israel says that He hates divorce. Mal 2:16
That’s as plain as it gets.
I know that divorce is sometimes a necessary evil and Continue reading

Tongue Twister

twister_game_lakewood_ohioI’m thinking the multi-colored game you play on the floor with several others, you know, left foot on blue, right hand on red, left hand green. Wouldn’t it hurt if someone stepped on your tongue during a game of Tongue Twister?
But that’s not what it’s about. Continue reading

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

Good Morning!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”
The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: “Whom shall I send and who will go for Us?”
Then I said, “Here am I! Send me.”
Isa 6:8
Last week a young woman, pastor’s wife, and new mother was killed in a car accident.
I didn’t know her but Mary, one of the ladies from my summer church camp, sent out an email about it.
I found it sad and I prayed. Continue reading

Finally, the election is over!

We may not have to hear debates and promises for a couple of years now.
We won’t have to deal with polls or political analysis. Continue reading

Visit And Fill Yourself With Joy

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

Good Morning!

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Having many things to write to you, I did not wish to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, that our joy may be full. 2 John 12
I read that verse last night and it has stuck in my head and heart.
It tells me that to see face-to-face is better than a comment on myspace, a phone call, an email, or a text message.
We have moved into an age where we no longer visit one another. Continue reading

I Hereby Endorse…

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

Good Morning!
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

There is so much talk about pastors endorsing a candidate from the pulpit.
It’s almost an automatic nail in the tax-exempt coffin for the ministry.
I’m personally wondering what the big deal is all about.
Frankly I don’t see how I can speak for all of my people no more than the boss of a huge company can speak for all of his. Continue reading
