Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
I’m running behind this morning.
I decided to pay some bills that desparately needed my attention soI wrote out checks to five of them before I noticed I had the wrong checkbook.
I ripped open all of the envelopes, voided the checks, and started over.
Setting that checkbook aside, I grabbed some plain envelopes and began again.
Two checks later I realized I had done it again! How did I get the wrong checkbook back in front of me?
Will these people ever get paid?
Will I get my morning coffee?
Calgon… take me away!
When God paid for our sins He only had one account to use and that was His Son.
For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And the ransom he paid was not mere gold or silver. He paid for you with the precious lifeblood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. 1 Peter 1:18-19
I’m so glad He paid from the right account for me otherwise He’d be voiding and ripping up checks like I’m doing!
