Keep Your Receipt

Morning thoughts from Pastor Tim

This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

guaranteeSometimes I’m not quite sure what to write about but let a day go by and something will happen.
Take Saturday for instance.
First, I am in need of a 6” stove pipe cap.
I haven’t been able to find one in Lufkin or Nacogdoches so I called Ace Hardware in Center. They assured me that they had one.
I drove the 30 miles to Ace only to find it wasn’t what I wanted.
Later in the afternoon we drove 30 miles to Lufkin and I bought a new game module to play Super Nintendo on for Haylee and Braeden.
When I got it home and hooked it up, it wouldn’t work.
I remember the last thing the salesman said to me, “keep the receipt and if you have any problems I’ll make good on it and give you a new one!”
I kept the receipt and will take the unit back.
I want to see the next one work before I leave.
I’m sure you’ve been there, done that; that you have esperienced the same problem with buying something that doesn’t work and going through the hassle of returning it.
It can be aggravating.
There is one guarantee that will stand.
It’s a guarantee that you can get for yourself.
The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us everything he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. This is just one more reason for us to praise our glorious God. Eph 1:14 NLT
No receipt needed and the only return will be that of Jesus!
So don’t pass up the deal of a lifetime; an eternal lifetime.
Let Jesus be the Savior for your life.
