The Truth Endures Forever

The President gave a speech to the Union last night and without disrespecting the Office of the President, I’m not sure how much of what he said is true.
Now, I’m not just going after President Obama.
I know there are things that past presidents have said that wasn’t true; or maybe they were true from a certain viewpoint.
But shouldn’t truth be truth from all viewpoints?
I recall the conversation between Jesus and Pontius Pilate; Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”
Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth . Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”
Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?”
John 18:37-38
Pilate had the Truth in front of him and didn’t recognize it.
Jesus spoke the truth to Pilate and he didn’t hear it.
Why is it written that the truth of the LORD endures forever? Ps 117:2
Shouldn’t all truth endure forever?
Yes, but not all that is said to be truth actually is.
It was once believed as truth that a ship could sail to the west from Spain and reach the East Indies.
However Columbus sailed and “discovered” the West Indies. What they didn’t realize was the land mass that lied between Europe and Asia.
That truth couldn’t last forever because it was erroneous.
Remember that Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6
Since He is the truth and speaks the truth, then He will endure forever!
Because of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever: 2 John 2

  1. Because TRUTH sometimes hurts, or doesn’t fit then it is not excepted. My Father God loves me so much that when it is needed He correct’s me. That hurts for a moment. Knowing He is doing it out of love causes me to loveingly accept it. When the truth hurts it should be weighted aginst the TRUTH. Good chance we need to say, “I’m sorry Lord.” Forgiveness is a wonderful thing. As for our president, this is a man in so much need of fervent prayers for his salvation.
