God's Will For Believers

When I look at John 6:40, I see God’s will for unbelievers; that they should be saved.
When I look at Romans 12, I see God’s will for believers; I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Rom 12:1-2
When you present yourself to God, God will present Himself to you! (James 4:8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.)
If you want to know the will of God for your life, then present yourself to Him on a daily basis in prayer, in Bible reading, even in fasting.
You will know God in a way that you may have never experienced before.
Knowing God’s will is more than just knowing direction; it’s about knowing how to conduct yourself as a Godly man or woman.
You can’t open the New Testament without seeing a directive of God’s will.
Submit yourself, love one another, watch what you say, don’t judge, be diligent, avoid bad company, rejoice, pray lifting up holy hands, ask, seek, knock; it’s all about being what God wants you to be, that is, doing His will.
Now you may be thinking that these principles are really nice but what about the little things; should you go to the movies, join a club, what church should you attend, or should you join in social drinking?
Let’s look at some of these issues next time.

  1. Knowing God’s will, knowing how to pray better, knowing how to live within His will, etc. it’s all explained in the scriptures. Why should we raise our hands? It’s in Isaiah. Yes it’s hard to understand when we read the Bible. BUT GOD will daw near you when you draw near Him. HE IS a present help.
