I read a lot of articles and commentaries about an Islamic takeover in other nations, specifically in Europe.
There is concern that if we keep giving into the Muslim community that we will lose our Christian identity and become the repressed minority.
First of all let me state if God is for us, who can be against us? Rom 8:31
Do you believe that or not?
Second, it has happened before and it was God’s doing!
The nation and people of Israel sinned and left the principles of Godliness.
Does that sound familiar?
To bring His people back to Him He allowed the Babylonians to take control of Israel.
In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his vassal for three years. Then he turned and rebelled against him. And the LORD sent against him raiding bands of Chaldeans, bands of Syrians, bands of Moabites, and bands of the people of Ammon; He sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of the LORD which He had spoken by His servants the prophets. Surely at the commandment of the LORD this came upon Judah, to remove them from His sight because of the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he had done, and also because of the innocent blood that he had shed; for he had filled Jerusalem with innocent blood, which the LORD would not pardon. 2 Kings 24:1-4
The people asked Jeremiah to pray to God and ask Him to turn the Babylonians away from Jerusalem.
God’s reply was, “Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands.” Jer 21:4
“I Myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger and fury and great wrath.” Jer 21:5
That doesn’t sound too promising!
Is this happening to us?
Have we turned our back on God to where He will deliver us into the hands of the enemy?
