One More Night With The Frogs

On Sunday mornings I’ve been preaching and teaching a series on the 10 Plagues.
Plague #2 has something very interesting said within it.
This is the plague of frogs.
According to the Bible the amphibians ended up everywhere; they will come up out of the river and into your houses, even into your bedrooms and onto your beds! Every home in Egypt will be filled with them. They will fill even your ovens and your kneading bowls. You and your people will be overwhelmed by frogs! Ex 8:3-4 NLT
Can you imagine frogs in your bed, everywhere on your floor; even in your oven?
It’s bad enough to have them moving and crawling all over things but what about the noise?
All that constant croaking and squealing would keep you awake at night.
As if that’s not bad enough, there is an opportunity to get rid of them but your nation’s leader doesn’t take it.
“You set the time!” Moses replied. “Tell me when you want me to pray for you, your officials, and your people. I will pray that you and your houses will be rid of the frogs. Then only the frogs in the Nile River will remain alive.”
“Do it tomorrow,” Pharaoh said. Ex 8:9-10 NLT
Why not do it RIGHT NOW?
This is the secret of sin, disease, death, and destruction; you think it will get better if you wait!
Each of us can procrastinate; it just seems that when it comes to God we want to put it off to tomorrow even more.
It is written don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring. Prov 27:1 NLT
In fact, today is the most important day of your life; indeed, God is ready to help you right now. Today is the day of salvation. 2 Cor 6:2 NLT

  1. Seens the human race needs a motivator. We know the Holy Spirit is our unction. And it is written that God is the giver of all authority. Truley we could do no good thing without Him behind us.
