The Handwriting Is On The Wall

The queen, because of the words of the king and his lords, came to the banquet hall. The queen spoke, saying, “O king, live forever! Do not let your thoughts trouble you, nor let your countenance change. There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the Spirit of the Holy God.” Dan 5:10-11
The handwriting was on the wall and no one knew what to do.
During a presidential reception, there was lots of food and wine.
The gold and silver cups that had been taken from Jerusalem; the gold and silver that had been consecrated to God were brought to the feast and used to praise the gods of silver and gold.
Suddenly, in the midst of the celebration, the fingers of a man’s hand appeared and wrote upon the wall.
This changed the mood of the party.
How do you fight against such a thing or understand it?
But the first lady spoke up and knew where they could get help; from someone filled with the Holy Spirit.
I’m not perfect and can often get caught up in the running of the church; the making sure that things run on time, that the heat or air is working properly, and the water jugs are full.
Sometimes in all that I miss what God is trying to say.
I’m so glad I have a wife that can tell me to slow down and pay attention.
She is such a blessing to my life and my ministry.
If only every president or CEO had such a wife; one that loves God, seeks His direction, and lives for Him.
Our country would turn around if the leaders and spouses would seek God instead of their own agenda.
Lord help us all!
