The Trial To Come

By now you know the news of news; Casey Anthony was found not guilty of 1st degree murder but is guilty on lesser charges.
I was not at the trial.
I did not hear all of the evidence.
I was not there to make an educated verdict.
All I know is a little girl is dead and someone is responsible.
Someone is guilty of murder not only for little Caylee but there are those that are guilty for taking the lives of many more children, women, and men.
There are those that have committed heinous crimes against humanity.
Many get away with committing these crimes; many others do not.
Then there are those innocent individuals that pay for crimes they did not commit.
Our jury system is not perfect but it is all we have and advances in forensic science is helping to solves crimes and put the perpetrators behind bars.
But God needs no detectives, no forensic scientist, no CSI, and no lawyers!
God has His word!
I’ve quoted this scripture many times from Heb 4:12 – For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
But pay attention to the next verse; and there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Heb 4:13
Whoever killed Caylee will give account (admit) before God their guilt.
This scripture is further backed up with Rom 14:12 – So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.
And 1 Peter 4:5 – They will give an account to Him who is ready to judge the living and the dead.
For those that have not accepted Jesus as Savior; for those that do not have Him as their advocate and mediator, there is only one verdict.
And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. Rev 20:12
And they were judged, each one according to his works. Rev 20:13b
And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. Rev 20:15
It is not a day of gladness or celebration.
It is not a time of rejoicing because justice has been served.
It is a day of sadness for millions upon millions that have forfeited eternal life for eternal death.
Though Caylee’s killer may never be prosecuted and found guilty, our duty is to pray that person will meet Jesus in repentance before the trial to come!
