You can do all things.

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Phil 4:13
I have come to accept that I cannot do anything!
I cannot stop a divorce.
I cannot preach someone out of hell or into heaven.
I cannot give you peace.
I cannot bring you revival.
I cannot fill you with the Holy Spirit!
I use to think I could possibly do these things but that ability is not mine.
So what does it mean to say “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”?
While I cannot do any of those things for you – I can do them for me.
Christ gives each of us the strength to endure and overcome; 1 John 5:4-5 – For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
There is no one that can make you happy but you.
Happiness is not in an accumulation of worldly things; happiness is a matter of attitude.
And apart from God there is no true happiness.
My parents were not happy with each other and divorced when I was 12.
I am happy with my marriage to Linda.
Why should I not be happy; God gave us to each other.
I am happy with my salvation; I have found no other “religion” that has given me peace and hope like Jesus.
When I experience revival it is because I open myself to what God wants for me and I receive it.
It is true; I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
So while I may not be able to do these things for you, I can introduce you to the One that can.
I can give you the Book of instruction.
The rest will be up to you but you, too, can do all things through Christ who strengthens you!
