It’s an oxymoron

I read where a San Francisco city official consulted a Ouija board before city leaders voted to recommend naming a Navy ship after slain gay rights activist, Harvey Milk.
The city official said he believes he made contact with Milk’s spirit and that Milk spelled out letters indicating: “Good riddance to don’t ask, don’t tell.”
The city supervisory board then voted and approved the resolution.
Milk had been a city supervisor and former naval officer but was fatally shot in 1978 by Dan White.
Supporters say the naming would honor the repeal of the ‘don’t ask, don’t tell” law barring open homosexuality in the military.
Opponents say Milk opposed war and it would be inappropriate to name a warship after him.
Where do I start?
Consultation with a Ouija board; really? Is this now an acceptable way to make decisions?
Why doesn’t someone use one to talk to some of the Founding Fathers and clear up a few things?
Better yet, consult your local Bible which says, do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witchcraft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord. Deut 18:10-12
In the Bible the penalty was death.
Though I don’t recommend this for the supervisor, I know I wouldn’t want him as a city leader any more.
Then again, I don’t live in San Francisco.
If they were serious about talking to someone that was dead and is now alive, then pray in the Name of Jesus for direction and understanding.
It’s an oxymoron that someone would believe in a Ouija board and the ability to talk to the dead but they won’t believe in Jesus.
Heed God’s word and put away anything that has to do with the occult!

  1. Perhaps they’d rather talk to someone who’s dead than someone who is very much alive! I’m continually amazed at the outrageous things that happen in San Francisco. If Mr. Mile opposed war, how come he was a former Naval officer? Lots of prayer needs to be said for San Fran, and the rest of California, for that matter. Nearly every unGodly that has swept across this nation had it’s origin in California. I would encourage prayer for strength for the Christians who happen to live there, as well as lift up the solid, Bible preaching pastors who are working to reach the lost. I have a dear Christian friend who lives in Huntington Beach, and she can’t believe how rapidly California is going down the slippery slope!
God’s blessings to all who come here!

  2. I can see how things have gotten worse over the years. It seems the changes are more rapid, & unbeliveable. I will see the return of Christ in my life time. We are in the last of the last days.
