In a moment

Runners continue to run towards the finish line as an explosion erupts at the finish line of the Boston MarathonThe news this morning is nothing but reports about the terrorist bombing at the Boston Marathon.

Video marks the moment of the actual explosion and the minutes afterwards.
There are many eyewitness accounts relaying what each person saw and felt.

Terror is defined as extreme fear and is the root or terrorist, who wants to put fear into people.
While watching the news and listening to the eyewitnesses this morning I imagined what the reports would sound like when Jesus returns.

Think about that moment because that’s all it will take; in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 1 Cor 15:52

I wonder how many will catch this event on video.
How many car accidents will happen because of driver-less vehicles?
How many others will panic because someone they know has gone missing?

Though I am sympathetic to the victims of the Boston bombing, it has not affected me directly. As far as I know, I did not know anyone in the race or injured in the blast.
But the event spoken of in 1 Corinthians will touch every person on the planet. It will cripple nations as citizens vanish.

It will put terror in the hearts of those that are left behind.
This could possibly be classified as a terrorist act when it happens.
The only difference is a terrorist doesn’t tell everyone that it’s coming.
God has!

  1. With all the people that are saying this was a hoax or conspiracy, false flag…whatever. It just reminds me that God is ultimately in control and He WILL reveal things in HIS time. Although it is difficult not to be afraid, we need to remember that little song we sang as children…”He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands”. Praying for all the families, for healing both physical and emotional and God’s grace be with them all.
