I indeed baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit. Mark 1:8
In the past month some wonderful things have been happening at church.
First, a young lady in the church was in a really bad accident earlier in the year. She had severe head trauma and nearly lost her life. But Father heard our prayer for her and gave great grace. Not only was her life spared – it seems there is no permanent damage.
Praising God for her doesn’t end here. She gave her heart to Jesus and will follow in baptism.
Then a senior in high school was crying at the end of a Wednesday evening service and also repented and asked Jesus to forgive her. She, too, will follow in baptism.
I have also been approached by several that already know His forgiveness but desire to rededicate their Christian lives. Each has also desired to be re-baptized.
God isn’t through!
This past Sunday I felt led to preach about baptism. The Holy Spirit moved on the heart of one to come forward to rededicate his life and be re-baptized.
It wasn’t long before his wife also came forward to do the same.
By the end of the service, nine had come forward, including three married couples.
I was overwhelmed.
I asked everyone that would be baptized to come forward – those that have just taken Jesus as Savior and those that have rededicated their lives.
Fourteen stood at the front of the church
I do not think God is through. There is a cleansing taking place in the hearts and minds of our church. Everyone is seeking a closer relationship with Him.
Many are seeking that baptism of fire and the Holy Spirit.
For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:27
God is not through!
