Today you will get busy doing something. You will immerse yourself into it. That may be work or lying around watching TV all day.
You might be on vacation and totally immerse yourself into fishing all day, lying on the beach, or hiking up a mountain trail.

Someone else may immerse themselves into trying find drugs or a daily struggle to get something to eat.

In the New Testament of the Bible, the root word that gives us baptism is the Greek word baptizo. It means to immerse, submerge, or overwhelm.
The idea behind baptism is to be completely submerged and immerse into water. That means it would completely surround and overwhelm you.

Work, TV, vacation, drugs, or finding something to eat and survive will completely surround those that do it.

When I go to work – I work. When I go on vacation – I vacation. Whatever I do I am immersed into it and do the best I can.

Paul said,

For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Gal 3:27

Literally, you have been immersed and overwhelmed into Christ.

When you are working it is evident to those around you that you are! Or either you’re not doing a good job at working.
You can tell when someone is on vacation by the bags they have packed into the car and sometimes the way they dress.
You can tell when someone is homeless and struggling to find something to eat and survive by the way they are dressed and the things they may be carrying.

If you are a Christian are you so immersed and overwhelmed into Christ that others around you can see it?
Do you put on Christ every day?

Receive the baptism of Christ today. Ask Him to completely wash over you and immerse you into Him.
