Stick to the Bible!

For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. 2 Tim 4:3-4

In preparation for the Bible study tonight, I have subjected my mind to much false doctrine and teaching.
Instead of convincing me, it makes me sick to read what others preach and teach as truth. Their belief goes beyond that which the Bible says.
They have stretched the truth and invented false beliefs based on truth. As Paul said they exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. Rom 1:25

People are looking for more. I have had a few people say to me, “There’s got to be more to the Bible story – more from God!”
What is contained from Genesis to Revelation is it. There are other writings that claim inspiration but those are fake and subtly teach against the Bible. Some call the teaching an enhancement of the Bible.
Satan enhanced God’s word when he said to Eve, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” Gen 3:4-5
The truth about Satan is he was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. John 8:44

People don’t endure sound doctrine because of their own desire to find more and accept anything that gives them more.
