Now therefore, our God, we thank You and praise Your glorious name. 1 Chron 29:13
I misplaced my iPhone last night. I left it in my pants pocket when I changed and hung that pair up.
When I finally found it, my Bible app had posted that scripture on my screen for me.
It immediately cheered me up.
God has a way of getting his message to you but you must recognize it.
Many see it clearly! I’m often told, “That sermon was just for me.”
Then there are times someone is so distraught and worried about their problems, they fail to hear from God.
I think of Elijah after God answered his prayer with fire from Heaven. Suddenly he’s running off into the wilderness because Queen Jezebel has threatened to kill him.
God had Elijah stand in the mouth of a cave.
He caused a great wind, an earthquake, and a fire – all great, spectacular events. But it was the still small voice that caught Elijah’s attention.
Every day I seek to hear from God but I also allow things to get in the way. That scripture, appearing suddenly on my iPhone was my still small voice.
