Exodus 5:2 And Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey His voice to let Israel go? I do not know the Lord, nor will I let Israel go.”
It is normal for Pharaoh to say these things. He considers himself a god and his court treats him as such.
Why should a god of Egypt bow down to any other god including the one true Lord God?
Why should the master bow down a god of slaves?
Christian thinking does not agree with this because the Christian mind has already accepted the One.
Yet, many subconsciously agree with Pharaoh.
Why should I obey God when I am in control of my own actions and destiny?
Who is God? I’ve never met nor seen Him.
Why should I bow down and worship a God that allows suffering to continue?
If He is God, then let Him stop wars and murders; let Him put an end to disease and hunger.
You do control your own actions and your destiny is in your own hands. Accept Jesus as Savior for eternal life or reject Him and face eternal punishment.
Most believers never met God but believe by faith, without which it is impossible to please Him.
A person may blame God for suffering but is the person saying it doing anything to end suffering? God eventually ends all pain, suffering, and even death! It is in His time. Remember, His own Son suffered and died so you are healed and live.
A person does not truly understand God without knowing Him in the fullness of Christ through grace and forgiveness.
If people would follow Gods ways their personal lives wound be less stressful.
