Exodus 4:10 Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”
It’s difficult to imagine a someone raised in the house of Pharaoh having trouble speaking but Moses indicated he did. Perhaps the thought of standing and speaking in front of a crowd worried him.
This is just one of five excuses he used to keep out of the service of God.
God would not have any of it.
And Moses became a deliverer, a leader, a lawgiver, and a spokesman for God.
God does the same for you!
I remember a man, after his salvation, telling me not to ask him to pray in public. He could not speak in front of others.
Today that same man is not that same man. He prays and teaches in the church. He is a hard, dedicated worker for the Lord.
Put away your excuses and instead pray to God for strength and ability.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
