Psalms 122:1
I was glad when they said to me,
“Let us go into the house of the Lord.”

I remember an old song that contains the words of this scripture in the lyrics.
When I heard the song I went searching for the inspiration behind it and found it in Psalm 122:1.
This verse became one of my favorites.
How joyful it is to go to the house of the Lord to worship Him.
Not only that but to fellowship with other Christians.
In our church, we call ourselves a forever family.
It is a day of gladness when we all get together in church.
I know many people do not view church with gladness. They see it as a place of drudgery. They walk in with the attitude they will not enjoy it and so they don’t. They talk themselves into not having a good time.
You get out of church what you expect to get.
Expect a blessing and you get a blessing.
Expect boredom and bored you will be!
The Psalmist knew this. He was glad when they said, “Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
