Psalms 127:3
Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,
The fruit of the womb is a reward.

Children are heirs! They take over where you leave off. It is up to you to define the takeover.
My parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents taught me many things that continue to this day. That’s heritage.
As our girls were growing up, Linda and I passed down our combined heritage. I am doing the same to my grandchildren as my grandparents did for me – passing down the heritage.
Heritage consists of many things like ancestral history, recipes, tools, houses and land, memorabilia, knowledge, and religion or spirituality.
I have no male heirs to carry on the Swanson name from me. The family tree branch with my name will die out with my death. However, I carry on through my children, my children’s children, and my children’s children’s children, much like I do when I tell the tales of my great grandparents to my grandchildren.
Our descendants should also hear from us how to become an heir of salvation through Jesus.
They must know the Bible is the only truth from God and there is no other way to God but through Jesus.
We should tell them the way of salvation and God’s expectations of us.
This is the heritage from the Lord.
