Proverbs 29:18
Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint;
But happy is he who keeps the law.

Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.

I usually read the New King James and when I came upon this verse, I had to post the KJV, with which I’m more familiar.

Without a clear vision of direction and purpose, you aimlessly wander in no particular direction and you have no purpose. All seems meaningless.
Yet, when you catch the vision for your life, you progress forward.

The word for vision can also translate as revelation or dream. I believe in Godly visions, dreams, and revelations.
I believe without Godly direction in our visions, we become stalled, stagnant, and stale.
It is written of the last days, “I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.” Acts 2:17
Without Jesus, you perish.
Without the Holy Spirit pouring into your life, you perish.
Open your eyes and your heart to God and get your vision from Him.
