Song of Songs 2:16
My beloved is mine, and I am his.

As I said, I don’t expect to remember much of Song of Solomon. This verse is in my memory because I wear it on my finger.
For our 25th anniversary, Linda ordered new wedding bands for us from James Avery.
Each contains Hebrew characters for this verse, though mine says “I am hers.”
These rings do not keep us together.
The words on them do not keep us together.
Love keeps us together. The words on our rings were first written in our hearts.
Linda and I belong together.
This verse does not stop there. It is not just about a husband and wife.
It is a great reminder of my relationship with God too. I am His and He is mine.
We belong together.
