Memorable Scripture: God’s Reasoning

Isaiah 1:18
“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.”

Have you heard this scripture?
What a great promise from God, Who gave it when the heart of His people had turned far from Him.
He was weary of their sacrifices and took no pleasure in them because the people’s heart was not in it.
God gave them this offer.
He gives an opportunity to come to Him and reason together. Reasoning with God is really you listening to what He has to say.
His word explains the ugliness of sin and the beauty of salvation.
His word tells you about how to get salvation for yourself.
Scarlet and red sin become white as snow and wool.
You can reason that your good deeds, church membership, money, or “I’m not as bad as some other people” will save you. You are wrong.
You cannot reason away your sin. Only God can. And He will!
