Isaiah 2:4
He shall judge between the nations,
And rebuke many people;
They shall beat their swords into plowshares,
And their spears into pruning hooks;
Nation shall not lift up sword against nation,
Neither shall they learn war anymore.
Today’s scripture is known as a millennial verse. However, you need not wait for the millennium to begin prosperously living this scripture.
It begins with verse 2 -that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains.
Applying this to your life involves putting God first (top of the mountain).
When you do this it leads into verse 3 – He will teach us His ways and we shall walk in His paths.
As you begin walking in His way you discover the desire to live peaceably, essentially beating your sword into a plowshare and your spear into a pruning hook.
Living peaceably does involve others but not as much as it involves you. Paul put it this way in Rom 12:18- If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
