Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened,
That it cannot save;
Nor His ear heavy,
That it cannot hear.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God;
And your sins have hidden His face from you,
So that He will not hear.
The Lord will not automatically save you. Just because Jesus died for all sin does not mean people are auto-saved.
The Lord will save anyone that asks His forgiveness through Jesus. He hears the prayer of repentance and cleanses you from all sin.
What keeps someone from salvation is sin.
Sin separates us from God.
Isaiah says God will not look at us when we sin. He knows about it but does not look at it.
Habakkuk 1:13 says, “You are of purer eyes than to behold evil, and cannot look on wickedness.”
How, then, can God keep watch over you when you sin?
Do not get the idea that sin is so powerful God cannot look at it, as if sin would soil Him somehow. Sin influences us and hampers our ability to please God.
But the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear.
