Ezekiel 16:6
“And when I passed by you and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’ Yes, I said to you in your blood, ‘Live!’”
I can’t remember who told me about this verse, perhaps my grandmother or Granny Coon.
I do remember this verse from when I had my wisdom teeth removed.
I was told memorizing this verse would minimize the bleeding.
I did.
It did.
Perhaps it had more to do in faith in God’s word than saying some incantation with a scripture.
God’s word is not a book of magic spells and secret sayings.
It is a book of faith.
It is a book of life.
It is a book of redemption.
This verse is not just a verse about someone bleeding to death.
It is a verse for you.
You struggle in your own blood every day.
You struggle with depression and stress.
You struggle with fear and worry.
When you struggle in your own blood, God says to you, “Live!”
He gave His blood so you can live.
“when I see the blood, I will pass I will pass over you”
