Micah 6:8
He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
This Old Testament verse is the foundation of the Christian walk.
A Christian walk is impossible apart from salvation. It just isn’t in the nature of people to do it all the time and it’s difficult at times for the most dedicated believer.
Justice, mercy, and humility are the basis of the Walk.
While many believe they are just, they are mostly self-righteous and judgmental. I’ll admit being guilty of that.
Merciful people can’t get revenge or hold grudges. There is no mercy in either.
And humility is best seen in servitude. Jesus said if you want to be first become the servant of all. Service is humility.
God calls these things good.
The true believer should strive to live just, mercifully, and humbly every day.
